ASES beat OverGaming to win EPS X
ASES came out on top of EPS Spain X after defeating OverGaming in the final on Sunday.
Held at the at the Telefónica Flagship store in the centre of Madrid, the Spanish EPS finals gathered the top two teams from the playoffs, who contested the top prize of €3,000.
With teams like x6tence and Karont3 out of the race for the title, it was up to ASES and OverGaming to decide who would be the new CS champion in Spain.
The match started off on de_inferno_se, where ASES went into the break with a comfortable 10-5 lead after playing on the Terrorist side. The second half followed the exact same trend as ASES remained on cruise control to win the map 16-6.
However, things did not look very promising for ASES on de_dust2_se, as the XLPARTY runners-up were up 9-6 at the interval after playing on the Terrorist side, but they turned in an amazing performance as CT, conceding just two rounds to win the map 16-8. This means that ASES will retain their EPS Spain title after winning the CS:Source tournament last season.
